Your Questions About Online Anatomy And Physiology Course With Lab

Mary asks…
Is there an online accelerated or 2nd degree BSN program out there? I already have a BS degree?
My undergraduate degree is in Exercise Science so I have many of the non-nursing requirements (like nutrition, microbiology with lab, physiology with lab, anatomy with lab, human growth and development, english, college math, stats, etc). I have seen the second degree or accelerated Bachelor’s of nursing degrees out there, but none online. I have three small children, so I would like to be able to do this online (except for the clinical of course). Does anyone know of a program like this? I can’t seen to find one. I don’t want to have to get an associates first (it seems like a waste) but it seems to be only option. All online nursing programs I have found so far only allow for an RN to BSN degree.
Thanks!

Susan asks…
Need Info About LVN please…?
hi, everybody well I?m a certified medical assistant been a medical assistant for about 8 months, never had a chance to work as a medical assistant I guess may be because of the economy and where ever I go they ask for experience or where I live its really important to be a bi-lingual in Spanish, I do speak other 3 foreign languages but I just don’t know Spanish. anyways what I?m trying to explain here is that I did my medical assistant from a private school and I owe13.000 in student loan, and since I couldn?t find a good job I decided that I won’t give up ,I ‘ll go for LVN and I did check a course online at adult school they do offering LVN program part time for about 22 months but that is after pre-requirement, I?m just concerned if I?m a medical assistant do I still need to do those pre-requirements or I could just enroll in the program I need to get in there asap because they have limited seats available and as everybody knows adult school is a cheap way for good education. I could really use some help on this one please.
And just for better understanding of my question following are the pre-requirements for the program at adult school but I ‘m confused if I need to do only one or all of them.

You need to do all of them. I have a question for you why dont you enroll in 9 months LVN school and get this done as quickly as possible? The other question I have is if you are going to take all these prerequisite courses why not enroll in nursing school and get your associate degree?? It will take you two years at a community college. RN makes more money than LVN.

Military Medic to BSN (Question about online programs)??
I am graduating college at the end of the fall with a Bachelor of Science in Justice and Law Administration. I have been interested in going to the military for awhile. I decided last year wanted to pursue a degree in the medical field possibly nursing. If all goes to plan and can enter the military as a medic courses that would be taken are: Basic Cardiac Life Support 1 Intro. to Clinical Lab Procedures 4 Anatomy and Physiology 4 Sanitation and Hygiene 3 Emergency Medical Procedures 3 Pathophysiology 5 Physical Assessment 5 Clinical Patient Care Practice 15 Parmacotherapeutics 3 EMT-B 6 credits.
I have about 130 credits from my degree am going to have this fall. That includes a few science classes and math classes including statistics. Two part question with all those courses and current credits would be possible to graduate with a BSN in a year or two? This might be too generic of a question to ask, but would be possible to do a program all online? Appreciate the response.

James asks…
Should I take an Astronomy class?
I am considering taking this class next semester, along with one other class on film. Both classes are defintely of interest to me. It is a 4 credit course (with lab) in online format. I have heard that Astronomy is a very difficult class and was wondering if others have taken it, would they recommend it? I have taken other “very difficult” classes before (…. i.e. Anatomy and Physiology I and II) and ended up with an A- and a B+. I have a 4.0 GPA that I want to maintain…. I was wondering others would like to share their experiences or thoughts? Thank you.
Also, it is an intro level course at my local community college.

Well, I took it and love it! I got a B and my GPA is nowhere near a 4.0 so go for it. I had an amazing professor though. He really cared and was very hands-on. If you sense you have a horrible teacher RUN!
